José María Montuenga holds a BA in Law from Universidad de Navarra, an MBA from IESE Business School and a Master’s Degree in Financial and Tax Law from CEU-Abad Oliba. Mediator of the Barcelona Bar Association
He has been a member of numerous boards of directors in various companies of the financial, real estate and food sectors, not only at SMEs but also at family-owned firms and listed companies. He has participated on those boards in the capacity of independent director, proprietary director and as an executive director. He has also held various positions on those boards, from secretary to chairman, and he has formed a part of their internal committees (delegated committee, appointments and remuneration committee and audit committee). Expert in business and real estate mediation.
José María has formed a part of the collegiate governing bodies of various foundations and other non-commercial entities. He joined STATUS EMA PARTNERS in mid-2018 as a consultant partner to develop the specialized consulting area of Boards of Directors.
